Skinner Releasing Technique
In the classes, our orientation toward and deep listening to the body’s interior landscape and its details propels our movement. Perceptual activity itself becomes the dance. Classes include working with partner graphics, to evoke specificity in our kinesthetic sense; principles engaged through sweet and sustained investigation also include tracking the dynamics of alignment in movement, discerning and dwelling in personal sources of strength, cultivating clarity of gesture, and exploiting the ever-present play of imagination in the body. Releasing can foster an awareness of personal aesthetics and our pre-aesthetic movement appetites. It is of particular significance for its applications in choreographic practice as well as psycho-physical health. More on SRT > here.
